Ive got a 2001 chevy monte carlo ls. I need to get it smogged but 3 of the obdII monitors wont show "ready". Its the evap monitoe, egr monitor, and heated 02 sensor monitor. In CA they wont smog a vehicle unless all monitors show "ready".
I was told to drive the car 90 miles to allow the car to completec its drive cycle. It has been well over 1000 miles and still not ready.
There are no saved, pending, or current trouble codes and check engine light is not on.
It is likely a bad 02 sensor. I would replace them with OEM parts and then do a drive cycle again to see if the systems set.
Well move in Tennessee they don't even do that crap here test them.but if you want an educated guess replace the oxygen sensor because once that sensor system doesn't work it stops analyzing and won't go any further pray it's that easy
