Scotty what OBD scanner would you recommend for a ford 1995 f250 diesel? I just got the truck and need a way to check the problems that pop up on this old boy.

A 1995 vehicle would be OBD-I, so most scanners are not going to work with it. Usually there would be "blink codes" on that kind of setup where there is a procedure to have the check engine light blink out a fault code. Other than that you would need a scanner compatible with the vehicle, something like this one. However note it says MOST 1982-1995 Ford products so you'd want to check that yours is included:
