On a budget...

Between the $100 Bluetooth and anything else less expensive, Bluetooth or direct corded plugin, is there a "best" one to buy? It is my hope that whatever i get next can provide translation to the ABS and other less popular codes, and with any luck provide as much information, including if the codes have recently been reset and some of the running parameters you show in your checking out used vehicle videos.

Thank-you very much for your consideration,

-Bruce

The one I have is a ThinkOBD 100 and it was like 30ish bucks and it's all you need unless your doing major repairs all the time. If you need to check codes for more info just use google. I can find just about any code just plugging it in and searching. Oh and Blue driver if you want a wireless one but they're more expensive.

Thank-you!

Apparently i have not quite got the hang of this board yet; i thought i set myself to be notified when a response was posted but i obviously failed miserably. I'll have to be more careful!

I think you'll be hard pressed to find a reader that will scan ABS codes for $100 or less.

Anyway, if you go to the top of this page and click 'Tools' you will see the scanners that Scotty recommends.
