My friend had a 2012 Suburo Forester standard transmission with 155,000 miles. He drives about 600 miles per week and the car used at least a quart of oil per week. I replaced the PVC valve and checked for vacuum leeks but it did not help. Would you suggest an oil additive and which one? Thanks.

How many miles? There are no oil additives that will make a material difference in oil burning. Unfortunately that car was built during a time that many Subaru engines had defective piston rings installed.
