Hello. I have a question regarding motor oil for a 2007 Toyota Corolla CE automatic transmission with 201,400 miles on it.
No complaints on the car and just about any synthetic oil gives me about 5000 miles before the maintenance light comes on.
Is there a brand and viscosity you recommend? I usually stick to 5W-30
Castrol. Fram Extra Guard.
And Fram Tough Guard.

What viscosity your owner's manual recommends. Any reputable brand that meets the API, ILSAC etc specifications the manual lists.

the oil has no effect on when the light comes on.
As for the oil exactly what @mmj said. Personally I usually buy Kirkland Signature since it's the best price in my area. For oil filter I get the OEM from Toyota dealership whenever they have it on a sale of like buy 3 or more for a reduced price.

As for the maintenance light if you are talking about something like a maintenance minder/reminder it depends on for example the oil life left which that depends on how much you've driven, how you have driven, etc.
