I wouldn't get the Kia K5 because they have a lot of engine problems that can cause fires. Mazda CX5 is a decent vehicle but it has cylinder deactivation. I would recommend taking a look at Toyota Rav4s if you are looking at the same vehicle class as the Mazda.

Agree with the Rav4; it's very roomy and comfortable actually. Another suggestion is the cr-v; the gasoline only version has a 1.5L turbocharged engine so I would rate it as second choice after the Rav4, but Scotty has talked about the oil dilution issue having been fixed and if you are fine with turbocharged then a turbocharged Honda is better than ones from other manufacturers.

If you want Hybrid then either Rav4 hybrid or cr-v hybrid. The good thing with cr-v hybrid is that it's not turbocharged.

FYI - there are 3 class action lawsuits on Kias, the one on the catching on fire problem, another one on excessive oil consumption, and one on them being too easy to steal. Now, the people who bought the cars might get monetary compensation for their troubles, eventually, but why go through that?

Chevy Trailblazer or Buick Encore GX

New Chevy / Buick products are hundred percent opposite of quality, and unless someone likes spending time and money at repair shops these cars should be totally avoided. OP wanted reliable vehicles and these aren't going to be reliable.

Those Chevy cars are the worst. Why would you suggest them??

@yaser
It's his opinion and he's welcome to it. Don't be a drama queen.

I also said my opinion. There is no drama.

@yaser Wrong. An opinion looks like this: "I think you should buy car A, because X, Y & Z" . Or, "You should not buy car B, because ...." (posted as your own answer)
Your comment is just provoking unnecessary drama and pestering people. You have been warned.

@yaser I've been there lol. But also been warned too. I think MountainManJoe wants the answers to look more professional. @rod-iron Just wondering, have you owned any GM products?

@ legendaryslayer It is much more than that. Thank you for the comment thought. Regarding your question, I don't have GM cars.

I was just asking rod-iron. Thanks for answering.

I'm not offended or upset at all if anyone is wondering. @legendaryslayer I do have a Ford Focus SE (230K miles and still going) and a Cadilla ELR (114K miles). I'm just offering an opinion based on my experiences, yours may differ and that's fine. In the end buy what makes you happy because it's your money! Good luck.
