Oil Burning Toyotas

Can Toyota Corollas and Camrys that burn oil be fixed? I saw a video from a few years ago that Scotty posted saying they can be fixed for about $2,000. Another Toyota expert said that the pistons can be replaced but it's the piston rings that are bad and can cause future oil burning. What's the bottom line? Can Oil Burning Toyotas be fixed or rebuilt to stop the oil burning or does one just have to live and deal with an oil burning car?

Anything can be fixed. It comes down to price and condition. How much will cost to fix compared to what's car worth. How many miles are on it. What the overall condition of the engine.  Say The engine is burning oil because rings are bad You replace them and fix issue. Now you have new rings with a worn engine that can go at any time.

Kinda related.  I have a friend that had the original RAV4.  It eventually became an oil burner.  He just added oil, and kept on going.  Hahhahahaa.
