Hi all:
2020 Camry 76000 miles. I took my car to the shop for a maintenance check and to rotate tires. The shop I've been going to for years told me nothing needed to be done except an oil change, cabin air filter, and air filter. I declined all and said I did my oil change 3000 miles ago. When I got my car and drove about 10 minutes to work, I noticed an oil smell and my hood was rattling. I parked and opened the hood to find my oil cap upside down. I called the shop and the mechanic said that at times the pressure from the engine can loosen the cap and that it's happened to them before. No lights appeared after I tightened the cap and started the engine. Should I be worried? Any feedback?

nonsense. They they didn't tighten it. Avoid that shop.
Just put the oil cap back on correctly and you should be fine. Maybe check the oil level in case some blew out.
@chucktobias Understood. Can an oil cap just pop out over time?
I've never seen one do that. It was probably just not installed properly.
@chucktobias Oil level was within range per dipstick. Also turned on for about a good 10 minutes and no lights on the dashboard popped up. I should be good. Thank you.
Only if it was left loose and vibrated off, but generally no.Can an oil cap just pop out over time?
