Oil Catch Can

I have a 2018 Charger Scat Pack. A supervisor from Dodge/ Extended Warranty Department, told me that an oil catch can will void my warranty and that it can cause damage to my engine. Can it really cause damage to the engine??

if you don't empty it on time

Yea making sure it’s empty, makes sense of course. Besides that though, I couldn’t find anything online that gave a straight answer as to what exactly in the engine would be affected by having an oil catch can. If anything, there’s nothing but positive things from what I saw. Thank you for your response MountainManJoe!

Doesn’t that HEMI engine have port injection and therefore the back of the intake valves would not be susceptible to carbon buildup?  As long as the engine is stock and not boosted, and uses port injection, I wouldn’t think a catch can is needed.

And, yes, it can void a warranty esp. since dealers usually look for a way out of a warranty claim.  Don’t give them any excuse!
