I changed the oil in my GX460 and used 5W-30 synthetic that I had on hand, but when I put the cap back on I noticed it said to use 0-20 oil in it. Should I be concerned and change the oil again? Or is it good for the standard oil change interval (5-7k typically for me). Thanks!
You can run it but it's not advised cause it be a different weight and viscosity. Recommendation would be to yes, change it to 0w-20 but if you really be in a pinch, it will do. Just get it done asap or next available time. Also depends on if the service manual says its okay. If it's not listed as an ok substitute then change it now.
Is just draining the oil and replacing it good, or do I need to change the filter too. Getting to the filter on this car is no easy chore...
