I have a 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS that has traveled 93,000 miles. I live in Norway and typically leave the car every winter to avoid salt. At the EU control, I have now been told to split the car in two to replace the rear main seal. I have to get it myself. I have instead purchased a bottle of RISLONE Rear Main Seal Repair. I will use 500mL in my engine oil and drive with this. My question: Is this safe to use and will it work?

It is safe to use but it will only temporarily fix the problem. The only real fix is a new, rear main seal.

Scotty recommends using the AT205 in a fresh engine oil. You can try it.
