Hello. I have a 2010 kia Picanto and the AC have not been in use for 8/9 months, I got it fixed and noticed (after driving a long distance on a sunny day) the Oil light flickering, I also noticed the extra pressure the compressor puts on the engine, the car stalls on hard throttle. I ve done idle relearn procedure, the rpm when the AC is on and when it's off on DRIVE is about the same.
I am thinking injector cleaner but I sure need more suggestions. Thanks in advance {black}:smile:
what’s the engine type (gas/diesel) and displacement?
Is it a 1st or a 2nd gen model?
It has a gasoline engine, it uses 4 plugs (don't know if that answers the displacement question)
It's a first generation (checked on wiki)
The ECM is supposed to kick up the idle rpm a little as soon as the AC comes on. Check for codes and let us know.
There are no codes, I asked a friend to scan yesterday
@BobbyB an OBD2 scan tool doesn't count. you need a full system scanner to diagnose what probably is a communication issue.
What was ‘fixed’?
