Oil P.M. Plan for '04 1ZZFE Corolla, 0-100k driven by grandma, then 100-150k by "italian"; use Valvoline Restore & Protect?

theyre prone to stuck piston rings and clogged drain passage ways, but supposedly '04 model less so.  Motor has no sludge, a little varnish. Should I bother with something like Valvoline Restore & Protect?  If so, should i decrease change intervals from 5.5k mi to like 3? Been using mobil1.

What do you expect Valvoline Restore & Protect to do for you? What problem are you trying to solve?

You need to do 3, 4 oil changes for optimum results with restore and protect.. Lake Speed's testing verified it does help clean carbon build up, on rings: lab results

Since it takes 3 or 4 oil changes to achieve optimum results. I would rather use Scotty's friend Bernie's ATS 505 Oil System Treatment once and be done with it.. and not to have to do 4 oil changes. After cleaning, use any good GF6-A oil. Scotty's has a video on how to use ATS 505 Oil system treatment here .

@hixster It would be interesting to see the Motor Oil Geek make a video using Bernie's ATS 505 Oil System Treatment.
