power steering hose leaks

I have a leak at my high pressure port on my 2007 Ford focus automatic transmission 2.0 l engine and I was wondering since I replaced that high pressure hose last time it leaked and there was a delayed leak is it wrong to use the pre-installed seal on the brand new high pressure hose or do you need to pull that off and correctly install a new Teflon ring? What do you guys usually do when you replace power steering hoses? Do you always put a new seal on or do you use the one that it comes with pre-installed?

I always use an oem original seal. The stuff they come with are often just for packaging so air doesn't get inside the line and start to deteriorate the line from the oxygen in the air.
