Mod Man has the answer.  You can't just assume it's the oil pan gasket leaking, unless you enjoy wasting your time and money.

I'm not sure why you'd need to support the engine to change an oil pan gasket...

No need for a new pan unless it has damage. Just make sure you clean off ALL the old adhesive from the old gasket when you remove it.

I'm a bit apprehensive on this like the other posters because you say you have an "oil leak from somewhere." Before going through the trouble of replacing gaskets, I'd like to nail down exactly where the leak is coming from.

It's a BMW....have you checked the rear main seal? They are famous for leaking there and also the engine valve covers. Remember, just because you have an oil leak, does not necessarily mean it is coming from a part that starts with the word "oil". You don't want to throw money away on parts as nothing is cheap on a BMW.

Thanks for the anwser! The car just got a new Valve cover gasket but that didn’t help, and it keeps leaking. It comes oil from both sides front of the engine. And u can see oil drips where the cars AC is and is is on the right side front of the engine. What could be above the AC thats leaking? And it leaks just also on left side front of the engine. Where does Rear main seal located on the V8 engine? Front of the engine where the fan is and the belt is. But i have been looking there but there it does not come anything oil.

No as long as it's not cracked it's perfectly fine and they cost a fortune on BMWs anyway

Thanks for the anwser Scotty, do u know if i need to support the cars engine when changeing the gasket? Because i need to change the gasket to see if the leak Will stop or not.

Have you ever considered that it might be leaking from the front main seal?  Rear main seal?  The oil pan is not part of the pressurized oiling system so a leak from the pan is unlikely.  But you seem hell bent on trying to fix something that's not broken.  Why?

Sorry for trying to find out what it possible can be wrong with the car and trying to fix it. Its my money afterall not like its your money that im spending soo🙃

Fine, go ahead and waste your time and money. It'll still leak when you're done.

First, find the exact source of the oil leak and confirm using UV dye and glasses like Scotty shows below:
