I have a 2010 Subaru Outback with the 2.5L with 114,000 miles. The oils pressure light comes on randomly. When I check the oil level it never needs it.
Could this be the Oil Pressure sending unit?

It could be, but you should check the oil pressure first. You might need to change the oil pump if the oil pressure is low.

It could also be a partially blocked oil intake screen. Need to drop the pan and clean it, possibly.
