Hey,
So recently I noticed that the oil pressure light on the dash does not turn on when I turn the ignition to on, and it doesnt turn in when the car is on.
Could it be a bad sending unit, or the bulb in the dash that went out. And how would I test the light, could I tap the connector wire to trigger the light to come on?
I have a 99 frontier with a ka24de engine
thanks

It's almost always a bad sending unit. Unplug the sending unit. See if it comes on. If it doesn't come on ground the sending unit wire to the engine or anything metal and see if it comes on then. If that occurs or a place the sending unit. Taking the dash apart is a lot harder to do to check the bulb

if it doesn't come on during the bulb test, then the bulb is out.
