Thank you for what you do. I have a 1997 Mazda B2300 2.1 liter Standard tranny. I bought it new and have always used Havoline 10w30 oil. I can only find 10w40 now. Is there any potential for harm using this? Should I change brands? It does not burn, or leak oil and I change at 5,000 mile intervals.

Mileage is 196,561 miles.

Where are you looking for your 10W30? You mean none of the box stores, (Oreilly's, Autozone, Advance, Napa, Wallmart) don't have any? There's always Amazon.

I assume that your owners manual recommends using 10W30.? So continue using.
Does the owners manual recommend using Havoline?

It is far more important to use the manufacturer recommended oil viscosity than brand, as long as it is a good quality oil that meets the API specifications for your car.

Congratulations on 196,561 btw.
