hi, I have recently had 3 oil leaks fixed on a used car I purchased cheap. its done 140k miles and its in really good shape no other issues. since having the gaskets replaced im getting what smells like a burning oil smell every time I drive, there is no visible smoke and it doesn't smell really strong just a slight wiff when its hot, when its cold I can still smell the traces of oil but my engine has been cleaned up, and I cant see any oil but I can smell it, I don't think its on the exhaust as its been 2 weeks of driving and that would have burned off by now, could it be I need to carry on driving it a while longer before the smell goes away completly. of might it be at the bottom of the engine underneath where I cant see. I have had it confirmed that there are no leaks any more. its not a serous concern but an annoying one.

Scotty demos how to use ultraviolet dye and UV lights to find those elusive oil leaks in one of his videos. What's nice is that the UV light will make the leak light up in a relatively dark environment, so leaks you wouldn't be able to see normally show up. Good hunting.
