Are there any synthetic oils that prevent the breakdown of plastics in engines? Like plastic timing chain guides?

Bisphenol A has allegedly been linked to people thinking they’re born the wrong gender.
you're doing it wrong. you have to say "studies show ..." before your statement, and then everyone will just accept it.

bisphenol A is a plasticizer, but society decided it was the boogeyman. Not sure it would be good for the rest of the engine either.
