Hello all,
2016 Subaru Crosstrek, 84k miles
When I am at idle (parked or at a stop light), I notice something “turning on” and the RPM drops about 200 and the engine acts like it is having hard time. This has been getting worse overtime. No AC while happening
Could it be a wearing alternator, dirty fuel injectors, clogged fuel filter?

Those are good guesses, but probably gonna take Scotty’s fancy scan tool to know for sure. Could be due for plugs, too, if they haven’t been replaced.

I also am suspecting the AC compressor is acting up (comes on when defrosting or my belt needs changed).

Load test your electrical system if you’re suspicious of the alternator.
When was the last time your car had a tune up?
