Ok Beater Car? '99 Lumina

Hi guys,

What do you think of a 99 Lumina with 127,000 miles for $1500? Seems like low miles and the guy has done maintenance on it. Would it work for a year or less until more cash is available?

Quote from the seller:

"This is an older car that has some smaller cosmetic issues such as a few rust spots here and there and worn paint. As well as hail damage on the hood roof and trunk. The engine is mechanically sound as I have replaced the intake gasket (with a steel one), new timing chain and oil pan cover and gasket, new spark plugs and wires, new a/c compressor clutch all within the past 15k miles. The original spare tire is in the trunk. I replaced the radio with a bluetooth capable one. The interior is worn and shows its age although its not terrible and still a comfortable vehicle to ride in. Both the heat and a/c work well. It has power windows and locks. I drive this vehicle 25 miles to and from work 4 days a week to attest to the reliability of the vehicle. It's old and rough around the edges but it is a perfectly fine vehicle for someone who needs a car to reliably get them from point a to point b for more than just a few months."
