In 2012 I bought a Actron CP9580 scanner. After that I bought a 2015 Corvette Z06 and a 2014 Ford F150 XLT with auto trans. Can I use it on these vehicles. Will I get generic diagnostic code or should I buy a new one. Can you recommend a middle road scanner that will bleed ABS and some bi-directional control.
Thank You
Have you tried updating the tool’s software to get later coverage of vehicles? I don’t know if it’s free or not, but start below (or contact Actron)

To answer your second question, look at the $330 Innova 5610 (non RS is fine) - this is the same one that Scotty has used in some videos (except his said RS but it’s the same thing). That also scan every module on the car, with SOME bidirectional control.
See below:

To be safe, check to see all the features it can perform for your vehicle: scroll down to ‘Coverage Checker’ down below on that page and select the tool and your vehicle.

It also tells you which bi-directional services it can perform.
In case you wonder the difference between the non-RS and RS, see email response below from Innova when I asked them:
“The 5160RS and 5610 are the exact same tools in features and coverage, but just have different colors. You can purchase the 5160RS off Amazon. I do not know why the prices are different, even though these tools are the same except for colors. The 5610 is less expensive.“
Also, if you buy the Innova tool I recommend you buy from them direct on their store to get the latest firmware, or one of their authorized dealers (they have an Amazon page as well linked from their Innova website) to not get scammed or get a Chinese clone/counterfeit. That’s also important to get service, warranty coverage, and software updates.
