Its 21 years old no do not buy this. If it only has 100k miles that means its almost certainly been sitting for long periods of time without being driven which is not good at all.

They should be much better quality than new ones specially with manual transmission.

Although, ask a trusted mechanic to check it out before buying it.

I would never buy a vehicle made after 2000 and here's why.  Manufacturers thought that replacing mechanical items with electrical items was a good idea.  It wasn't.  On new vehicles, you are basically pushing on a light dimmer switch when you use the accelerator.  I never broke a throttle cable in my life. I have never owned a vehicle with an automatic transmission because they are an engineering disaster doomed to failure.  Electronically controlled everything means electronic nightmares down the road.  When your electronically controlled automatic transmission goes out and it costs more to repair than the value of the car, you'll remember these words.

I broke a throttle cable once on a long trip. I fixed it with a shoelace on the side of the road and finished the trip. For that matter, I had that car for several more years and never did do anything about replacing the shoelace with a new cable. (This was on a 1980s-vintage car.)

Older automatic transmissions are not electronically controlled, they are totally hydraulic and mechanical. Many, like the old 3-speed Chrysler Torqueflites, are extremely reliable and not too expensive to repair when the time comes, which may not be for decades. It's even possible for the ambitious shade-tree mechanic to tackle repairing them.

How much?  I would pass though but if cheap and you have a special need, may be worth it to you. But if daily driver, pass.

Hillbilly,

it is an estate sale locally here.    And to make matters worse , I guess, LOL!   not able to look at it prior to the sale, as it is an online auction. So,  definitely a gamble. I realize this.

But only just over 1000.00 now.   Just looking.   Drive a 2005  4cyl camry now. with way more mile that this car.

And,   being older, I always liked driving a standard
