Hello, Scotty, I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla S with 85k miles with an automatic transmission I see there a button in the stick that says O/D I know it means Overdrive but what is the purpose of this button? when should it be used?

Overdrive is when the transmission shifts into its highest gear, lowers RPMs, therefore, improving fuel economy. I’d say it’s best to use O/D when you’re on the highway so you can get better gas mileage.
