I have a 2000 Ford mustang 3.8 V6 Base coupe with a 4R70W transmossion. Around 236,000 miles the tranny died over the course of a week then became inoperable. At this time I was getting the flashing o/d off message. Looking at my Haynes book I understood that this was showing because the tranny was toast. I had the tranny rebuilt for $2000 at a local transmission repair shop. When I paid for the repair they alerted me that the flashing message was still there and they didnt know how to clear it. The transmission seems to work fine along with the overdrive button on the shifter. Any ideas on how to get rid of this flashing message?

Some transmission shop well if it shifts okay generally that would mean there's some type of minor flaw in the transmission control module which on those I believe is part of the main computer which means you probably have to replace it so if it runs okay I just leave it maybe take the bulb out rather than replace the computer module and have it reprogrammed
