Hey I’ve got a 2008 Chevy Silverado with the 4.3 v6 engine. When the truck is moving and air is flowing, the coolant temp is fine but when I stop the temperature starts to rise but goes back to normal when I start to move again. Radiator fans going bad?

There may be a separate temperature sensor for the fans that has failed. Also check any fuses or relays in the fan circuit as well as the fans themselves.

I would check the thermostat! Make sure it’s not stuck shut.
