- Hi Scotty ,why will my 2006 honda crv over heat only on a freeway ,after about 40km of driving, there is coolant ,but it boils out of the coolant from the radiator over flow bottle?

Probably need a new thermostat.

Did change the thermostat, but still over heats on the freeway .

Then it's either a partially blocked radiator (corrosion) or a failing water pump. Does this vehicle have electric fans or a fan clutch system?
