I have a Kia 2012 Kia Sorento 4 cylinder. They replaced my engine due to the recall. Mileage at the time was about 85,000 miles. We were preparing for a road trip from Florida to Michigan and noticed the boot on the passenger side axle was torn and had been for a while. We replaced it and the car seemed to ride fine for most of the trip. As you know, the roads are not all perfect and we hit a few major bumps on the highway. By the time we came back to Florida it seemed to be that my front end was falling apart. My first mistake was bringing it to a Firestone to examine the axle. The boot was crunched. They told me that was wrong and that was what the problem was. I had them replace it. 2 days later I noticed when I drove at about 20 - 30 mph or so, and took my foot off the gas then gave it a little gas I heard a "clunk." I put the car in park and gave a bit of gas to rev it up took my foot off then gave it a tiny bit of gas. There was no "clunk." I brought my car to a transmission shop and they told me it was my Motor Mounts and Transmission Mounts. What do you think? Are they steering me in the right direction? I've been watching your channel for several years and I appreciate your advice.
P.S...My wife's car is a Toyota Matrix 2003 and it runs incredibly great.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Well if the motor and transmission mounts are worn indeed that will rip the boots because they'll stretch too much from too much motion and then break it is logical
