Overheating problem 2002 Honda Accord

Hi there, I've got an 2002 Honda Accord 3.0L V6 with 303,000 miles. The car tends to run too hot in certain conditions. Sometimes it will run as high as 3/4 of the way up the gauge. It usually does it in stop and go traffic when the AC is turned on. Usually, turning the AC off gets it back to running at a normal temperature, and it runs at a normal temperature on the highway, even with the AC cranked all the way up. My radiator cooling fan was bad, but after replacing it, the problem reappeared a couple days later, even though the fan was still working as it should. I've also got a brand new water pump from replacing my timing belt recently, but that made no difference either. Hasn't been losing coolant, and it also got new coolant after it got the new water pump. Any ideas?
