Overtorqued tranny fluid drain plug

Hey scotty i went to change my transmission fluid and filter on my 07 Avalon and realized very quickly that the 10mm Allen wrench socket transmission fluid drain plug was overtorqued by the previous owner ridiculously bad. I gave it lots of force but realized If I twist too hard it starts to strip the socket and I'm worried that it will be impossible to get it off if I push any harder. I tried a pair of vice grips to twist as well with no luck. What do I even do from here?

drain plugs are cheap. Just give the allen driver all you've got. I don't think it will strip completely. If it does, use an easy-out.

If the drain plug is so over tightened, how's the fill plug?  Were you able to get it loosened? Because you don't want to start if you can't get the fill plug off.

If the drain plug absolutely won't come out, and worse comes to worst; you might have to drop the pan and get a new pan and new plug.

Put a propane torch to it for about 45 seconds, tap the surrounding area lightly with a ball pein hammer and crank the sucker out.  Worst case, like Joe said, use an easy out.  You may need a Time Sert if it strips out the pan, or a used pan - salvage yard.
