Hi, id appreciate any help please, my 2011 CX7 is intermittently throwing the p0101 code.
Drives fine as far as i can tell. I have:
Replaced MAF sensor with genuine mazda part
cleaned throttle body, no vacuum leaks.
Mechanic says change the Throttle position sensor but i dont want to bc he was the one who said to buy a $1000 maf sensor after allready trying 2 pulled/used genuine sensors without change.
Any ideas are welcomed. thankyou
Thanks bro, ive checked all that except the cat converter. I dont know how to do a back pressure test so ill look into that.
The mechanic didnt think it had anything to do with the cat converter, he did say it had no vacuum leaks and made me pay 1000$ for a new mazda maf sensor that didnt fix the issue, esp after i told him i allready tried a used one and an after market maf sensor but he still insisted i buy the genuine and it would do the trick, im so annoyed with him by i new putting a third maf sensor in would not be the problem.
Anyway, ill check the cat converter if i can. Is there an easy way to check it, i heard shining a torch down it would work but id have to remove it yeah.
Do you know where i can find the technical info so i can check if the fuel trims andd o2 sensors etc are in range.
I sometimes but rarely get other codes like too lean and lost communication with tpm along with it.
My battery is at 12.2 and i saw scotty say that weak batteries are no good, do you think this might all be bc of a week battery?
Thanks for your help

I don't know if that's causing your problem but I do know that voltage is too low. Have your battery and alternator load tested.

as close to zero as possible give or take a few percent

You need to solve those first

that's low. Get it load tested along with the alternator
thanks, it only goes down to 12.2 overnight, when its running its over 14v.
Just another Q.
The tranny fluid id gold, it doesnt look dirty, it looks gold like new engine oil. Is there such thing as gold transmission fluid, ive only seen red.
I only bought this car 2 months ago, looks like i bought someones problems. i dont feel right passing on the problems to someone else either.
The Auto seems fine but i just notoced the AT light on with the engine light (maf code) which made me look.
Did i just buy a pos. It came with a rwc, it does seem to run fine
