Got an 06 automagic f150 with a 4.6l v8 and 144k miles. Car runs great and shifts fine, but it has an OBD2 code p0705 which appears to be the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) the wire runs really close to the exhaust manifold. My guess is the wires just burned up due to the exhaust manifold leak (missing stud). Will I do any real damage to the car if I just leave it for a little bit? There is a slow drain on the battery.

Well if you have a drain on the battery I would fix it sooner than later because if it does short out to the computer it could destroy the main computer
