P0741 2014 Escape won't pass inspection Help please.

I have a P0741 code and can't pass NYS inspection. Been trying for 2 months. Changed Transmission fluid did nothing. Drives and shifts perfectly no problems at all. Has 118k on her.
We begin with 6 INC's. (Erg, Fuel, Cat. Mon, Evap.  Oxy Mon. Oxy, Htr) We have been able to get the first 4 off, (Usually takes most of the day and usually in that order)-
However- by the end of the day (5PM when garages close) We still have both Oxygen INC's on.
Then the next morning, when we turn it on again, within a mile, the Transmission Fault warning comes on and kicks the Check Engine light back on, so we have to reset and start all over with the 6 INC's.
FYI- In the past years, as low as 90K miles, the Trans Fault has been coming on, but never interfered with getting the INC's off to pass inspection.
Pulling the tranny and motor out seems too expensive and unnecessary when it runs so well.
ANY help to this would be so appreciated. We have driven her over 1000 miles trying to get these INC's all off-
Not sure what to do next.  Thank you for any help.

Take it to a transmission expert

Causes of this DTC may include:

  • Wiring harness to transmission shorted to ground
  • Torque converter clutch (TCC) solenoid internal short
  • Transmission control module (TCM)

Here is information on that code. It is likely that your transmission's torque converter is worn out but other causes are possible:

When is the last time the transmission fluid was changed? (If the answer is "never", at 118K miles transmission probably is damaged.) I don't know why this would affect the emission system monitors unless there's a problem with your PCM or wiring.
