Scotty, I have 2 2006 Hyundai Elantras with stiff stearing. Car 1 has 283,000 miles and car 2 has 85,000. Car 1 had the stearing pump and rack replaced last year which helped a little. The belts on both seem to be tight with no slippage. The stiff stearing usually happens when it is cold outside. I'm thinking this is a Hyundai thing?
