Hello! So I have a 2010 mazda3 with 65000 miles. Automatic with manual option whatever that's called. Suddenly had hard shift drive and reverse. Immediately took to transmission shop (aplus transmissions) about 1.5 miles away. They were horrible! Kept my car 10 months saying it was the shift solenoid (my cheap scan tool did show solenoid a problem) and kept having trouble getting the right one for my car (it was a bad one so sending back going through warranty process to get another..ordered from China took weeks and super expensive with tarrifs but they sent wrong one etc) finally after 8 months he calls it's fixed. Quarter mile stop for gas. Hard lurch shift to drive when leaving. Take it back. He scans. Says oh, looks like TCM is bad. Ya don't say 🙄
2 months and it's fixed fixed. Perfect! Drives great. Unless it's parked more than day! Supposed to have a guarantee but when called he said it couldn't possibly be related to installing the tcm it's my battery so he said he put in a new one it's not new but had checked and it's good battery. But the drain continues continues! They don't respond. Not even corporate office! Had to buy a jump starter and it's just a nightmare. Week ago tried to go to doctor appointment but my jump starter(6000) doesn't even work anymore. I!NEVER! had a draw before they changed out the tcm. It's clearly related right? Not necessarily the tcm but but some mishap while switching out?
Any advice?
I'm seriously ill and cannot be without the car or deal with their insanity anymore.
Read through the parasitic draw related questions far but hoping you can answer specific to my car/history leading up.
Ok thank you! Be well
