Hello Scotty! Finally, I bought a car recently, and a question comes to my mind to ask you.
I recently bought a Mazda 3 2010 with 93k KM on it, and i realize that when I turn on the AC, I have cold air but when I am standing and the car is not moving, the AC compressor shuts off and on every 6 or 7 secs. I know the compressors always go on and off, but I've never seen a car that its compressor turns off and on so quickly like this!
And I want to know for this car, is it normal? I am not sure if the ac is doing this again every 6 secs while i'm driving because I can not feel it.
By the way the previous owner changed the AC compressor as she said 2 years ago, and after that it didn't drive it that much.

Rapid compressor cycling is a common problem when refrigerant is low. What are your high and low system pressures?

There's a lot that has to be done for successful compressor replacement and unless you have a receipt detailing the work you don't know whether the job was done properly.
If you are not familiar with working on car air conditioning it would be best to take it to a good independent shop for diagnosis. (Not a chain or dealer.) It way too easy to make things worse or even injure yourself.
