i have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee 2wd automatic 171k mil on it and its a 4.0 straight six
Im doing a rebuild replacing pistons, rod bearing, and crank bearings, im only doing this since a blown head gasket happened and the replacement new head I bought broke a spring and dropped value and beat the piston to death the company replaced head and found it was faulty springs that wasn't tested, me and my father both wondered why the springs looked so silver and shiny. but to the point what is the recommended oil to use and break in procedure that not going to kill my Cadillac convertor.

Well I personally like Castrol oil just use that in the weight that it suggests on your oil cap like if it says 5W20 use 5W20
