I have a 2004 Ford Explorer XLT. I'm trying to replace the pcv valve and I find ones that have a connector but i dont think my truck uses that connector. Can I install that pcv valve or is their a specific pcv valve or what part number is it.

Replace with oem grade and should be a direct replacement (fit).  Use Rockauto.com to find the EXACT part number for your spec'ed vehicle.

I did check Rockauto.com and they show the pcv valve with the connector but I've seen videos where the pcv valve they install have no connector. I know the connector is for heated pcv valve but mine isnt

The video's they show are generic as they can not do a vidy for every single item... they are to show the general procedure to replace comparable parts. If you get one with the same part number as on the vehicle, it will be a direct replacement. I've never known RA to have wrong part number.
