Looking to buy new (I keep for at least 15 years) between these 3 cars:
'21 Honda Accord (1.5T w/CVT)
'21 Mazda 6 (2.5L NA w/6- speed)
'21 Toyota Camry (2.5L w/8- speed)
Longevity and performance are my biggest concerns.
As far as longevity, the CVT transmission has the least. They are poorly designed, wear out quickly, and many mechanics won't work on them. Toyota is known for having long lasting and well built vehicles. The Camry is a classic Toyota that with proper maintenance can last a very long time and have a higher resale value compared to the other vehicles mentioned. Hope this helps!
hehe... your just like the rest of us! Performance and longevity are diametrically opposed!... probably want good gas mileage too!
I hear ya and am with ya, hence the Toyo ; )
Camry for sure. Period.
F.S.
1. Camry
2. Mazda
An accord is good but the 1.5T had some oil dellusion issues which they claim they fixed for 2020+ but I'm not sure also the CVT will last they have been putting those for over 8 years in the Accords but a manuel would be better. If you like the Mazda get the Mazda they can last. By far, the Camry is most reliable but in the last 10 years or so Camry quality has fell a lot so you make your deicison.
