I went to Pep Boys for a recharge my battery because it was dead, when I got there I took it to the back for him to charge it and when he was about to charge it he hooked it up to a tester I asked him why are you hooking it up to a tester he then lied and said it charger. I told him you can't fool me he then got another worker to vouch for him the tester said it's too weak so he told me the battery couldn't take a charge so then I went to Advance auto parts and charged it there and it worked and it was fully charged again

Dog bites man.
Its Pep Boys.
Nuff said.
Yeah we have been warning people to stay away from these chain stores like Pep Boys or quick lube establishments.
The only reason to go to Pep Boys is to buy air freshener, and then only when it's on sale.
is theirs really good?
@doc, Pep Boys used to be good for that sort of thing back when the original family was still running the place. (Kind of like a subset of J.C. Whitney for those who remember the Whitney catalog.) Today a Florida-based investment conglomerate owns Pep Boys and I would not even buy a set of fuzzy dice there.
I don't know, it hasn't been on sale yet, MMJoe.
It seems they were revealing their future business model in their ads back then

I would suggest searching Scotty's video channel for car battery information and how to manage them.
After watching a few of his video's, there are probably a few things you could perform yourself in order to avoid the crooks.
I guess Pep Boys are like Radio Shack - they don't know what they should know.
