Hi. Before I make the trip to check out this vehicle (Sequoia), I had the seller send me some photos of underneath it. Would you mind taking a look at the three photos and let me know if the rust looks to be a concern, or if anything else jumps out at you that would cause you to advise me against buying it or to pay close attention to upon seeing it in person? Thanks as always!

To me it just looks like surface rust. Hard to tell without hitting it but it still looks solid. Imo
Thanks for your input!
That undercarriage actually looks really good. Looks like you might have a winner there.
Thanks for having a look and for the reply!
Looks like surface rust to me. Nothing really to be concerned about.
Great. Thanks for having a look!
Yes. It’s surface rust. If this car stays in the same climate zone as to date, … long life is predicted. Take it to, say eastern seaboard as permanent home, … it will rust very fast. Road salt will kill it in few short years.

Thank you for your reply! Appreciate your help.
it looks really clean. That is hardly any rust.
What I would pay more attention to, is things like the CV axles, suspension, balljoints, steering etc. Things like that.
Ok, thank you so much. Regarding the other items you mentioned...CV axles, suspension, balljoints, steering, etc., I'm not that mechanically inclined. I'll bring it to a mechanic if it passes my first impression. When I drive it, I'll listen for any clunking, do tight turns in both directions. and see how it responds to quick steering movements. I'll push on the bumpers to see if it bounces a lot. Any other tests you can think of? Thanks again.

Great. Thank you!
