Hello everyone,
I Have 2007 Honda Civic Lx. When I put it in reverse, I hear an unknown noise from the front side. Scotty's said use WD-40 to pinpoint the problem. Can I use white lithium grease instead? Does it have to WD-40? I heard that WD-40 isn't actually a lubricant.
Thank you
I'm not sure how WD-40 would help locate that kind of noise. Scotty has demonstrated electronic listening devices that can be used to find car noises.

I meant spraying WD-40 underneath car to pinpoint
It's hard to see that being effective for finding most noises, certainly not anything emanating from the engine or transmission. However if the noise happens to be caused by parts on the chassis vibrating against each other, any kind of lubricant would probably do the trick.
