I have a 2008 Dodge Avenger R/T V6 approximately 175000 miles. When you step on the gas and start to go it starts shaking, making noises and loses power. I have taken it to several mechanics to find out what it is. One mechanic said the catalytic converter,  another says it's the O2 sensor,  another says spark plugs while a few others want to take the engine apart. Your brother gave me your name and your you tube channel. Your brother thinks it might be some type of filter. I do hope you get back to me. If you decide you have more questions or just want to speak to me about this, please feel free to call me at <personal info remove -mod>.  Thank you,  Lisa

When is the last time that routine service was done on air filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs? (That's the easy stuff.)

Sounds like you need to find a mechanic that is willing to do some actual diagnostic work instead of guesswork.

They are doing spark plugs now. I'm not sure of anything else.

are any warning lights lit up on your instrument panel?

Check engine light

OK that's pertinent information. Good... that means the vehicle's computer is giving clues. Find out what triggered the light.
Analyzing the diagnostics is step number one for finding the cause of engine problems.

Shaking is often caused by misfires (which alone has dozens of causes), but it could be so many other things. It's impossible to diagnose over the internet without seeing the car. But it sounds like you took it to the mechanic anyway. Hopefully they know what they're doing.

The first thing I would probably do which is also the easiest to check the air intake filter
