I have a bmw e90 320i, for 10 years, about to reach 99500 miles, automatic transmission.
My car has been rather sluggish at lower speeds and it is very difficult to accelerate.
Having thought that the spark plugs needs to be changed, I went ahead to change it. To my horror, my car stalled when in reverse gear, engine misfires and rough idling after replacing all 4 spark plugs in my car. Next, my mechanic replaced one of the ignition coils and that seemed to solve the engine stall and misfiring issues. However, I still have difficulties with my acceleration and my fuel consumption went sky high.
What should I do in my circumstances, if I do not have a reliable mechanic near my area?
I guess you have to drive further to a good mechanic
Extra information: engine oil indicator does not light up.
Start with pressure testing fuel pump. Check fuel trims, O2 sensors, can be alot of things.
