I have had a 2014 Chevy Cruze for a year and 6 months it has about 134,000 miles on it now and the door moldings on the roof the two rubber pieces are starting to crack away and you can see the sliver metal under the rubber what is the best way to replace it because I thought about just chipping the rest of the rubber off and repainting over it
Feel free to post a photo.
Are you talking about the rubber door seals inside the top of the door, or the plastic stripping that seals the roof panel with the top of the exterior of the doors? You can buy new seals online and put them in.
If you're talking about the ones sealing the roof, getting a plastic trim puller will help you out tremendously. They will pull the seal put without scratching the paint, and they work for pulling Christmas tree pins on those stupid splash shields underneath as well.
Honestly I’m not too sure it’s the grooves that run along on top of the car running from the windshield to the back window you can see the metal under where the black rubber was placed
