2005 Ford Five Hundred, bought it at 119k miles, at around 150k miles, I once was getting out of my car, locked it and the car started by its-self. Does not have auto start or any such device installed. It’s never done it since then

You sure there wasn't someone hiding in the car with the key just to fool you. Now the only thing that could theoretically do. That was if the starter zone are shorted out and it could crank the engine over
I live by myself. Haha. Yea it was really crazy. I know the starter was replaced right before I got the car.
