I have a 2007 Chevy cobalt s s not the supercharge, took it to Chevy they said cut the crappy part out which I did blew a piece of rust out of the actual line put a 3 foot piece of gas 3/8 inch rubber hose and clamped it down my light on my engine is still on what to do?

If there was rust in the line it's likely the Purge Valve is leaking. You can pull it off and try to blow through it. You shouldn't be able to. Not even a little.
If you can, replace it
