Well considering that it is owned by Volvo which in turn is owned by geely. I'd say if anything it would be a Definite competitor to Tesla as Tesla has had it's fair share of fires that there had to put out. No pun intended. Since it is Chinese backed company I would expected it to also have better quality technology unless they really be trying to screw over the americans with a $60k hunk of junk. Chinese do know how to keep their grudges after all lol. That would be funny. If you are interested, I also suggest you look into NIO if you haven't yet. That's another pretty cool emerging tech from China in the EV space.

They are nice cars, and Volvo is trying to go to electric so time will tell.
