Hey Scotty, my father recently took his 2022 Sonata to Porter Hyundai in Newark Delaware for his “free” oil change and when he got the car back and took it home the tech that worked on it didn’t put the drain plug back in and all the oil leaked out of the car and onto the driveway. Now we have to get his car towed to the dealership again to get the job done correctly
If the drain plug was not put in you would not have made it home before the engine self-destructed. The oil plug may have not been tightened and it fell out somewhere along the way home. If that vehicle was driven without oil you're going to need a new engine as well.
Make sure you have everything on paper, because if they messed up then they should pay for the damage, if they refuse hire a lawyer and see what legal action can be done.
